Miniature Cup and Saucer

I would appreciate some help identifying the maker of this miniature cup and saucer. On the base of the saucer there are markings. At the top is a crown, underneath that is a design with 9 points such as a child would draw a star.
Inside it has what looks like an R. The lower left leg curls to the left, and the right curls to the right
Beneath this is the number 579.
The cup has the number 579 on the base. It is 3.5cm high, the saucer is 8cm wide.
Can anyone identify the maker, or when this was made? Thanks
