Cliff Lucerne Dish Decoration
Its a Lucerne Cliff dish with the number 18 on the back. Lovely flowery pattern all the way round the edge. Bought it for 25p from jumble sale.
Don't know what the marks mean, if anyone can help my email is dacca@blueyonder.co.uk

David your dish was manufactured by J. Dimmock & Co a Staffordshire Potteries company operating from the Albion Works in Hanley between 1862 and 1904.
From around 1878 WD Cliff took ownership of the company and your dish bears the typical CLIFF mark with the LUCERNE pattern.
The Registration No: 221056 dates the dish design registration to c1894 although actual manufacture may be later than this but before c1904.
